Information: Finished Ph.D. in 2012.
Ph.D objective: research of the genetic disease Familial Dysautonomia (FD) which is an autosomal recessive congenital neuropathy. Hadas focused on understanding the molecular mechanism of the splicing of the IKBKAP gene, which is tissue specific alternatively spliced in FD, and also on finding a molecular/genetic therapy for the disease. She also investigated the connection between alternative splicing and chromatin organization using a unique model system of an IKBKAP minigene.
